How to Tile Sticker Around the ToiletUpdated 5 months ago
So you’re stickering your bathroom floor and it’s smooth sailing. You’re peeling, you’re sticking, you’ve found your rhythm. But then you get to the toilet and panic sets in. What do you do now?!
There’s no doubt that the toilet is the one of the most complicated spots in the home for installing tile stickers. Trimming each sticker in advance to match the curves in the base requires precision, and it’s easy to make a mistake.
So, avoid the risks and do it our way instead:
- First, peel off only part of the sticker backing and align the sticker with your tile.
Apply as much of the sticker as you can until you reach the toilet base, then trim off the excess backing.
- Next, make an incision toward the base of your toilet.
- Then, wrap the sticker around the toilet while continuing to make cuts toward the base.
Once the tile around the toilet is covered with your sticker, take a razor blade or utility knife and cut off the excess sticker.
